DeGeneration Promo Video! - File Description  


Description:
I must put in my personal opinion about this video - amazing. Utterly amazing. First of all, the cinematography skills in capturing and compiling this video is excellent. Secondly, the content is awesome! This is an RTCW mod that offers so much. Mobile MG-42's, Para-spawns (you respawn in mid air and parachute in), as well as a slough of new maps that look like would be some of the best maps ever had they been released on their own - it makes it even better that they are part of a modification for RTCW. There are not many for Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and DeGeneration is destined to take the show Rock. Download the video now and see why I am so excited about this upcoming mod!

This video was created to give you an idea about what to look forward to with the release of DeGeneration, a new modification for RTCW. This is just a teaser, but for more information on DG visit www.tramdesign.net or more specifically the DeGeneration website http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/tramdesign/degeneration/index.html

How to view:
1. Run DivX511.exe and go through the installation process.
2. Double click dg_promo.avi or open it up in media player.

Tools used:
Divx, Virtualdub, Fraps, Adobe Premier & Adobe Photoshop

Playing time:
1:53 minutes

Finally got the video, could only get it from the US server though as I kept getting:

"The page cannot be displayed" error when trying from the other 2 servers. Roll Eyes (sarcastic)

The video has a great intro and shows some of the new features for DG, Its not very long but still shows how good this mod is looking. Two Thumbs Up!

I agree. It is kind of short and sweet, just like Call of Duty was smile. I was talking with Rummie earlier (a DG team member) and he told me that the footage was from several weeks ago, and the mod has improved since then. I have a feeling this will be one hell of a good mod. Although it doesn't modify the game out of the WWII & Wolfenstein genre, it still changes and adds a ton of great new things. Between the maps and the new variety to the gameplay, this is going to rock.

Nice vid. Too bad downloading it was such a chore. I'm not sure what's going on with FileFront, but attempting to download this file crashed IE and wouldn't allow me to restart IE without generating errors until I restarted.

This is the only file I've tried to download from RtCWFiles.com in months, so this comes as a bit of a disappointment. I hope this won't happen every single time I download something from the site now.

Oddly, though, the file continued to download, even though I hadn't been queued to start the download. I was waiting in line, my browser starting going nuts, and I restarted my computer.

When I reached my Desktop, the file was right there, fully downloaded. Odd.

I don't think I had any troubles, and not sure if everybody had the same problem as you... You might have some kind of spyware or virus that does not like the windowed download system FileFront uses... To be honest, I don't really know what caused your browser to go nuts, but it might be a problem on your end and not FileFront's, unless of course many others witnessed the same problem... (??)

Ah yes, the Paraspawns are going to be an awesome new addition to RTCW. Fortunately for you, Warn, RTCW can be purchased for under $15 at Amazon. I am sure you could get it even cheaper on Ebay - just be careful, you never know if the Ebay seller gives you a fake CD Key, or keeps the CD Key to trade :-

I downloaded the file from Filefront and had no problem. Must be on your end kevinski. Try downloading something else from there.

BTW, the video was great! From the sound of it, I thought this mod would be more futuristic, but I guess not. And are those new skins I saw on the players? They looked great.

Why don;t they ever add ammo pouches and tools around the allied soldiers and axis waist! if BJ can have tools around his waist why can;t the rest of allied soldiers?..

I bought the RtCW Platinum Edition for $4.98 at Target. smile

Strangely, it went back up in price the following week. I already had the original 1.0 version, as I got it shortly after the game was originally released. I think I'll play through SP again until this mod is released.
