Also how to open that wall at the back of the prison, I think that must be the escape.
Cheers,

I unzipped it to “C rogram FilesReturn to Castle Wolfenstein”. Straightforward installation. It creates a /Saboteur folder. All of these Russian RTCW add-ons overwrite your qagamesx86.dll and cgamesx86.dll files, so back them up first! RTCW will NOT work on non-Russian add-on levels if you keep these Russian versions.
Level 1: Normandy. Objective: “Kill all enemies by any means necessary. Locate the exit to the Seabase”. A small beach landing with about 15 other Americans. You need to pick a side to come up along. I chose the right. Going up the middle doesn’t work. You need to invade the fortress and kill all of the Germans. One of the lookout areas has the exit. All rooms have Germans who are very good shots. Medium.
Level 2: Seabase. Objective: “Explore this base. Locate the exit to the technical bunker”. Yes, it’s a base by the sea, but you wouldn’t know it except for a thin walkway where you can look out at over the sea. Run of the mill level. Keep your eyes open. Easy.
Level 3: Technical Bunker. Objective: “Eliminate the main officer. Locate the technical book”. This level looks exactly like a level in Iron Cross II, I think. Anyway, it’s a long level. It wears you down with all of the corridors you need to walk down and find enemy soldiers in these small rooms. In the center of the bunker is a large open room with two trucks parked in it. In one corner is the exit (behind a door you have to learn to open. There’s a German guarding the exit). The technical book is in a safe that you blow. That room is a tough fight because as soon as you open the door, 4 guys shoot at you. I think once you get the technical book, that opens the exit door. Getting the book feels like about halfway through. As with all levels, go slow, think about the situation you’re in. Use grenades going up and down stairs, and learn to use the single shot rifle, it’s often better than theMP40. No secrets. Medium.
Level 4. Support. Objective: “Eliminate all resistance. Locate the entrance to central complex”. A series of rooms, one has a pool. Go into the pool and swim to the end of the corridor, come up and breathe, go back and take that turn you missed and reach a secret area. A few guys with the big machine gun are around. You need to learn to take them out with confidence, to master the other levels. Medium.
Level 5. UnderBase. Objective: “Find the switch to Open the gates. Locate the exit to the center of the complex”. There are German snipers hitting you constantly. There is a ladder up a long wall near you, go up there first and open the door to the room, its full of supplies, you’re going to need ‘em. Use grenades to blow away most Germans at the base of the ladder. Once you get down and go over to the other section, there is another ladder to climb. On the upper level, there is a wire fence. Follow to the right, go across a narrow walkway. Room at the end on the right has two buttons in it. One opens the gates, the other I’m not sure. Hard.
Level 6. UnderBase2. Objective: “Explore the industrial complex. Eliminate all resistance and find the exit”. Starts off very hard. So many Germans come at you one after another. The middle of the level is quiet and almost easy. The end is tough again. There is one secret. See the pipes overhead as you run down the driveway? You need to get onto them, then go left and blow the door in the corner. The secret room is full of good stuff. Medium.
Level 7. SecretWeapon. Objective: “Eliminate all scientists”. Straightforward level. One secret, the crane overhead, need to jump onto it from one of the 2nd floor walkways.
Level 8. SecretWeapon2. Objective: “Locate the Storehouse to refill your ammo and strengthen your health” and “locate the way to the rocket base”. No Secrets. Just connected rooms. Easy.
Level 9. EndMission. Objective: “Run, run, run! Stop the launch of the V2.”. Very, very hard. There is a timer running. You don’t have time to kill all of the Germans. There is only one successful path down the corridors. Start by opening locating the stairs down. Germans are always firing at you, so that goes without saying. Run down the stairs and kill all of the Germans down there. Don’t go out into the open area where the rocket parts are stored, that leads nowhere. At the bottom of the stairs, there is a door that leads to the rest of the corridors. It simply a matter of taking the right turns otherwise you will run out of time. At the final door, as you enter you see a stairs leading up. Two grenades get thrown at you, so quickly back out. The door closes and a paratrooper comes after you. Kill him and run up the stairs. Then go through the door and face the final guy and three of four scientists, all of whom are crack shots. I used the big machine gun or flamethrower here. Once they are all dead, if you still have time left go over to the console and press the red button. Game over. |
