 #1 - not working - Posted by: vins007 (Member) on 11-08-2005 at 06:31
Has anyone got this to work ?
I have installed like it says but when i run the bat file the dos box pops up then disapears and i'm right back to windows Cry

#2 - correction to last post - Posted by: vins007 (Member) on 11-08-2005 at 06:37
There is no install directions, what i did was put the bat file and sp_pak5.pk3 in my RTCW folder, i also tried moving the sp_pak5.pk3 to my Main folder and still no luck.

 #3 - 2 ways to run this baby - Posted by: werewolf7000 (Member) on 11-08-2005 at 09:10
Go to MS.DOS batch file, that came with this file map, right click on mouse, scroll down to "edit" which should be underneath "open" , erase everything (save original bat.file under different folder) then write- wolfsp.exe +set fs_game theenemycastle +set nextmap "spmap demoversion3"

wolfsp.exe = tells the computer to start wolfenstein game
+set fs_game theenemycastle = means to save and launch the game in that folder named "theenemycastle." if the name of folder is different , then type the name of folder after scripting +set fs_game name_of_folder.

+set nextmap "spmap demoverison3" = means to launch map "demoversion3" if you want launch the second map of this file erase the 3 to number 4. Hence "spmap demoversion4"

the Second method to launch this map, is to put the pak5 file in the main directory where the other pak files are (Pak0, pak1,pak 2, etc.)

start the game by clicking the wolf icon, when in game mode, bring the console down by punching "~ " key, it's at the left hand side of keyboard right underneath the escape key. You should see a grey scroll at top of the screen pulled down. type "spmap demoversion3 or spmap demoverison4 for the newer map.

it's really gr8 that all these sp-maps are being released lately. Nice big grin

 #5 - Thanks - Posted by: vins007 (Member) on 11-08-2005 at 19:37
TY, the 2nd way works perfect, nice map, bit easy.

#6 - No problem, Bitte schon - Posted by: werewolf7000 (Member) on 11-09-2005 at 00:45
I don't understand why some people prefer the second method? But if they like it that way I guess it's fine. I think it's a such a fuss to pull down the console everytime and type and wait for the game to loadup. At the begining I used do that, but I found that the main directory was becoming too ****bersome and the original maps wouldn't run at all. for some reason, maybe a -ui problem or same map names or something was creating friction to prevent that from running the original maps.

I think copying and creating a batch file is the perfect way to go, all you do is click it and it runs the map, no fuss of remembering map names and such. It loads the map automatically. Maybe the scripting and editing part is bit daunting for the newgamers, but after you create a few it becomes as easy as riding a bicycle.

 #7 - wow the word ****bersome was ***** - Posted by: werewolf7000 (Member) on 11-09-2005 at 00:50
That's weird. The word ****bersome was starred. C-u-m-b-e-r-s-o-me.

 #9 - LOVIT!! - Posted by: mercjak (Member) on 11-26-2005 at 02:09
A neat map! The snipers make it interesting. The stubborn guys in the main radio shack do have their ways of aggravation. I have found two of the treasures, there is one that eludes me. I expected much more on the second level though. Would love to see it taken further. Still, I think this was very well done and I do really enjoy playing this one. I would like to see more games or more levels done by this fine mapper ~ ~ ~ ~ definitily worth the download ~ ~ ~ ~ mercjak

#10 - GREAT MAP, NEEDS MORE PLAYERS!!!? - Posted by: mercjak (Member) on 12-11-2005 at 17:51
I think this is a very interesting map. It just needs more players!! I am wide open to any help about finding all the treasures and hidden things. Found some, not all. Appreciate more comments and help here ( tried darn near everywhere, so feel free to help).

Try this guy's map out, I think he has done a really good job!!

 #11 - I FOUND THEM!!! - Posted by: mercjak (Member) on 01-02-2006 at 21:41
I just thought I would put a postscript here. I found all the secret areas and the treasures. The last one was a neat little thing!! I think I will celebrate with a chocolate malt!!! ~ ~ ~ mercjak~ ~ ~

 #12 - Hey what's the secret! - Posted by: werewolf7000 (Member) on 06-21-2006 at 19:18
Come on, spill the beans.

#13 - Play Game Update - Posted by: mercjak (Member) on 07-05-2008 at 19:56
I had to erase my games because of partition trouble. Downloaded this game to play it again. What a surprise! When I had this before, the second level ended after getting a silenced sten gun from a British agent - - - it was over!
Now, the second level map has been finished. What a neat map......... a job well done.
I like this one a lot; one of my favorites. Granted, it is not hard, but, I can have fun without breaking my **s............... sometimes a game can become so difficult and hard to work through, the fun part drops off by the wayside.............. just my 2 cents. By the way, I have not yet found all the secrets and treasures on the second level, but............... stay tuned!! big grin ~ ~ ~ mercjak ~ ~ ~

#14 - CAME BACK AND GOT THEM!! - Posted by: mercjak (Member) on 07-06-2008 at 01:51
Just another postscript in passing by to say that I found all the treasures and secrets on the "2nd" level. I enjoyed this one and I must say that "Dialog" has done a good job with this. How I wish we could get more people doing this type of thing.
I wish I had the talent to do some and post them up here.............. Oh well, I'm glad I am able to play themwink ....... ~ ~ ~ mercjak ~ ~ ~
